January EXTRA Post

Unfortunately the early weeks of January little was done toward my mentorship or senior project. My mom passed away on the 13th and I was too consumed with that to bother with project stuff. But alas life goes on and I have resumed my mentorship as of last friday. My main Focus is my independent component which i am quite behind on. As I have noted previously it is basically a rundown of an entire grading operation. I have been getting the materials ready with my mentor. Not much else to report really, i continue to read boring reports and help the office staff. Just know that my mentorship sabbatical is over and im back to work at an urgent pace.

Presentation 2

1.What are you most proud of in your Lesson 2 Presentation and why?
I am most proud of my activity. Not only did it seem to engage the audience it also was a great way to enter into my dialogue(i presented my activity after the hook). It explained the importance of proper grading as well as tied in my EQ answer. This comprehensive activity greatly benefited my overall presentation.
2. a.     What assessment would you give yourself on your Lesson 2 Presentation (self-assessment)?
AE
   b.     Explain why you deserve that grade using evidence from the Lesson 2 component contract.
I deserve an AE on this presentation because i met all P requirements. My activity supported my answer, I turned in all the paperwork pm to,e and ,y research was on point etc etc etc. After meeting all the P requirements I went above and beyond my thoroughly engaging the audience as well as being able to deal with various tech problems that i encountered. My presentation was exemplary.

3. What worked for you in your Lesson 2?
My voice went well, it was able to convey my message effectively.

4. What didn't work? If you had a time machine, what would you have done differently to improve your Lesson 2?
My powerpoint wasn't able to display images. LACOE at work. Next time i will have to download the images or contact Paul. I will also bring a bottle of water, my thought got dry.

5. What do you think your answer #2 is going to be?
My answer #2 will probably have to do with correct construction procedure. by doing the job right you don't have to waste money doing it again. But i need to talk with my mentor more.

Blog 11: Holiday Project Update

1. I did nothing pertaining to my senior project over break.
Although though my mother's illness, among other events I did gain a lot of perspective.
3. I would ask my mentor  about the answer to my EQ, he really knows the field (that is why he is my mentor).
